ID button
The driver presses it when getting into the vehicle and the Vigilo tracker recognises them. Without an authorised fob, the vehicle will not start.

From the key fob to your screen
The fob transmits over Bluetooth and the Vigilo tracker installed in the vehicle detects it. The platform records the driver, controls the ignition and alerts you to every SOS.
One fob per driver
We register each fob on the platform and link it to a driver.
ID when getting in
The driver presses the ID button; the tracker recognises it and enables the ignition.

* Range in open field with no obstacles; it is shorter inside a vehicle. Battery life at 25 °C transmitting every 10 seconds; it varies with use. Requires a Vigilo tracker with Bluetooth and, to control the ignition, an immobiliser installation.
Questions about the ID & SOS key fob
How does it stop the vehicle from being started without authorisation?
The Vigilo tracker keeps the ignition blocked until it detects an authorised fob. Without a fob, the vehicle will not start and you receive an alert.
What happens when the SOS button is pressed?
An alert is sent instantly to the platform and the app with the GPS position, the time and the driver, and the people you choose are notified.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 500 days depending on use. It is a standard coin cell and can be changed in seconds.
Does it work with my tracker?
It works with Vigilo trackers with Bluetooth. We will tell you whether yours is compatible and, if not, suggest the right device.
Can I see who drove each vehicle?
Yes. Every trip is recorded with the identified driver and you can get reports by driver.
Is it waterproof?
It is IP41 rated: it withstands dust and water drops from everyday use, but it must not be submerged.
